TOP 5 BANGERS IN MY SET: ROB SPARX

Rob Sparx just just dropped his new EP on NexGen Music. The ‘Dreaming’ EP has been doing serious damage on the dancefloor with the likes of Rene LaVice,  TC & Drumsound & Baseline Smith all supporting.

To celebrate the release, we caught up with Rob to find out what the current bangers are in his set.

1.) Paul T & Edward Oberon – Infamous

These two are absolutely killing it right now and not just on the liquid
front, this is an absolute stomper one of the heaviest tunes I heard in a long
time!

2.) Total Science & S.P.Y. – Gangsta VIP

Dangerous combination of Total Science’s shuffling break workouts and S.P.Y.’s
powerful production style + full on basses/leads, love the old skool flavours
here.

3.) Toronto Is Broken – Want You

I met Christian teaching a production seminar at Leicester college about 5
years ago and his tunes have come on a long way since then, this one is
probably my favourite so far. Its got a Ram style slightly electro drop then
16 bars later it has some great 80’s synths that wouldn’t sound out of place
in a Kung Fury fight scene!

4.) Noisia & The Upbeats – Dead Limit

Noisia are probably the best producers on the planet and the EP they did with
the Upbeats is ridiculously heavy. This has the same kind of energy that was
in Moonwave Renegade but focussed into a far more dance friendly peak set time
absolute killa tune.

5.) Chromatic & RV – Flight of Imagination

Chromatic is another producer putting out consistently good releases atm –
this track gets that Dread bass sound absolutely spot on with some tuff breaks
and great midrange bass fills adding the necessary backup.
